This was an abandoned and unfinished building in my home city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Sakhalin island, Russia. I do not know exactly what it was meant to be, but I've always thought it looked like a theater, hence the title. I remember walking by it almost every day from school and it kept catching my eye. It's been there as long as I can remember till they finally knocked it down a couple years ago, and built another trading center.

That's so cool! What a wonderful piece of architecture. It's a shame it was torn down. But at least you got a good picture of it :D

It's a shame they did not finish it in the first place. Too bad, we still have so many abandoned and incomplete places, that just stay there and die. Thank you for your comment so much:-)

That is a shame. I wonder what it would have looked like if it were finished? Do you really have a lot of abandoned buildings like that? Why are they never finished? Why are they left? ... You don't have to know the answers of course, but... I'm in a thinking mood right now, so I feel like asking a lot of questions ^^;
And you're welcome for the comment! Thank you for replying! :D I love to have conversations with fellow artists!

Sorry for the late reply. It is a shame. I remember being a kid I always came across unfinished projects, I guess not enough money or smth else did not let the construction companies to complete. Well, you can definitely take some interesting pictures that's a plus at least. Thanks again, I like the conversations too:-)

Oh it's no problem.

And that is a shame. There's this structure here where I live that never got finished. It's just the frame. A bunch of Xs. It's kinda cool and weird to look at. Hmm.. Perhaps I'll take a picture of it sometime. Still, I wonder what the buildings would be like if they were ever finished. But yes, they make interesting pictures.

Yay for conversation! :dance:

No, unfortunately. I took this shot when I just got into photography hobby and this was the only one of this structure. I haven't even thought of retaking shots in a different season. Well, now it's too late anyway)) Thanks for the comment
